Governance Structure
How TFC is governed — from the General Assembly to committees and the Secretariat.
TFC operates under a member-owned governance framework that ensures accountability, democratic control and strategic oversight in line with cooperative legislation.
General Assembly
The supreme governing body comprising delegates from member organizations. Approves major policies, elects the Board and holds management accountable.
Board of Directors
Provides strategic direction, fiduciary oversight and policy guidance on behalf of members between General Assembly meetings.
Board Committees
Specialized committees support the Board on audit, finance, governance and programme oversight.
Executive Management & Secretariat
Implements Board decisions and manages day-to-day operations, member services and Federation programmes.
Accountability Framework
Governance arrangements are guided by the TFC constitution, the Co-operative Societies Act, Cooperative Rules and international best practice for apex cooperative organizations.
